Norway Day 9 ~ Geirangerfjord & Travel to Sognefjorden!

Slept great again and woke with our alarm at 7am so we could grab showers before other people. We noticed that the heater wasn't working so Brad played with it and got it working again.

Eventually we drove into Geiranger, parked in the ferry line, and meandered into the hamlet - grabbing sandwiches and dessert for lunch. It is a super small hamlet – another large cruise ship was in port and we couldn’t figure out what the people on the huge cruise ships – that carry 2,000-3,000 people - would do in Geiranger for the day.

The ferry ride was nice - still overcast but we started seeing patches of blue sky – yay! Lots of pictures.......

This is the windy road we traveled yesterday....

Lots of waterfalls.....

Including this one, called The Seven Sisters....

Hi Brad! 😃

Hi Suzanne!

There were also farms along the fjord - just didn't seem the most conducive environment to raise livestock or grow crops, but what do we know......

We looked for a wild camping spot for the night, but there were lots of “No Camping” signs along the way. We finally found one - another spot next to a church!

We then had an issue with the propane not getting to the stove…..Brad fixed that too! Has no idea how….but it works and that’s all that counts!

Had a quick dinner of nothing exciting - watched people put flowers on the graves.

Looking forward to a sunny day tomorrow- yay!

Today's route.....
