Another rainy (and cold-ish) day here - bummer. The difficult thing is that all of the hikes we want to do have the promise of amazing views, so there is no reason to do them when it is 100% cloud cover and foggy. So again we looked for some kind of walk/hike we could do - sort of just to pass the time. So today we drove to Lago di Braies (Lake Braies), about an hour drive, to hike around the lake - a little over two miles.

Once again, there were lots of people......
The lake - even without the sunshine - was an amazing color......
We continued hiking (really, walking) - hoping that maybe all of the Umbrella People would dissipate.......
We enjoyed more lovely views of the lake.....

Recall that just a couple weeks ago in Croatia we were commenting that it was too hot....not any more! 😅
As we continued, there were lots of nice views of the hotel....
...and the boathouse.
We left and found some lunch at a nearby town (more German than Italian) - we've never seen a mint-green colored church before.....
Then it was back to our airbnb for a repeat of yesterday. We did find a local channel re-airing the US Open, so have watched that a bit during the rainy weather - the announcers are speaking Italian, but we really haven't picked up any more Italian words! 😂
