Prince Edward Island ~ Day 4 & New Brunswick ~ Day 1!

We πŸ’“πŸ’“πŸ’“Prince Edward Island!!! This is the first place on this trip that we were bummed that we had to leave - if we didn't already have reservations and need to move along to New Brunswick we would have stayed longer. PEI: We Will Be Back!!!!πŸ’–

Although we could have driven to our next destination (Miramichi, New Brunswick) directly in about 2 1/2 hours, we decide to meander our way along the Red Sands Shore Road and stop at various places. As the name implies, the sand is red here...

We then stopped at Argyle Shores Provincial Park and walked around a while - there was a super low tide and lots of sandbanks to enjoy.

How far will he go???

 Hi Suzanne!

As we continued along Red Sands Shore Road, we ended up in Victoria where there were lots of restaurants from which to choose and we chose Richard's as we ended up talking with locals who said that this was the place to get lobster rolls. (Yes, that's three days in a row we've had lobster rolls.πŸ˜‹)

They were right!

Meaty tons of lobster down to the bottom of the roll. Simple - served with hot melted butter - nothing else. Only (minor) issue - Suzanne would have preferred her lobster warmed, not cold. When we ran into our new PEI friends after eating, he said that he thought the lobster was a bit dry. Well, not when you pour on all the butter! πŸ˜‰

Lobster Rolls in order of Best to Meh.

Considerations: bread to lobster ratio and price

1. Richards, Victoria, PEI

2. Doyle Sansome & Son, Twillingate, NL

3. Chelsea's Fish & Chips, Lewisporte, NL

4. The Seafood Shack's Straight Up, Morell, PEI

5. The Seafood Shack's Classic Catch, Morell, PEI

6.  Water Prince Corner Shop, Charlottetown, PEI

7. The Freight Shed Waterside Bistro, Baddeck, NS

We walked the pier a bit in Victoria.....

Then (begrudgingly) made our way to Miramichi, NB where we arrived at one of the loveliest Airbnb's we've stayed. It doesn't have a full kitchen - or a washer/dryer - nor is it super close to anything - but nicely redone with some lovely touches, such as....

A personalizes note...

A communication board.....

And just very well put together with lots of warm/homey touches.....

Let the New Brunswick part of our journey begin! πŸ˜€
