We went to Kouchibouguac (pronounced koo-she-boo-gwack) National Park today thinking that we would do some hiking/walking, but it was around 93-degrees and just too hot. We did go to the Kellys Beach area and enjoyed the walk to the beach and along the beach.
First it was about a 1km walk along a boardwalk........
Where we learned that we must share the beach with the Piping Plover.....
Suzanne waiting for Brad to read some placard.......
Kellys Beach (no, there is not supposed to be an apostrophe....)
We took a quick stop at Ryans (Yup - just called Ryans - again, no apostrophe) where we could see across the Kouchibouguac River to an area called Loggiecroft.
So then we drove to Loggiecroft where lobstermen and lobsterwomen were getting their boats ready for some lobstering.
This is what a full boat looks like...
A little video to see the lobstermen at work.......
We ran some errands and went back to our Airbnb. Again, this is one of the loveliest Airbnb's we have stayed - here is a photo of our entrance......
Across the street they also own some waterfront and have a very nice three-tiered patio established, as well as a small dock. Brad did not like standing on the dock while it was rocking - bummer there is no video of that! 😆
It is supposed to be much cooler the next couple of days while we are here, which is a good thing. We are in Canada after all - it shouldn't be 93-degrees Fahrenheit!
