Norway Day 16 ~ Continuing onto Alta!

We slept great! (Yep, this is the trip of sleeping late – once again we maintain it was because of cold nights and down comforters!!) We woke around 7am and headed towards Alta to see what that area had to offer.

As always.....great views!

While waiting for the ferry in Lyngseidet, Brad was tickled when a Finnish man went up to him and asked if he spoke English (he had a question about the ferry). English is definitely the common language in these parts – it wasn’t the only time we were asked if we spoke English – which to us seems strange since we feel as if we look soooo American! 😄

Along the way we saw a few glaciers......

There weren't sheep in the middle of the road up here, instead.....reindeer!

We drove to Alta - enjoyed a great dinner – Brad finally had the opportunity to try stockfish.

We camped in the strangest place of the entire trip…..we drove through a family residential area to a big area in the back where cars seem to be stored and other campers were spending the night. There were walking trails and neighbors walked by with their dogs, kids rode by their bikes (and came up and talked to us), people jogged by….it was just a bit weird.

Evening activity - talk about what to do and where to go tomorrow.😏

Today's route......
