Newfoundland, Canada ~ Day 3

We took about an hour drive south today to a different area in Gros Morne National Park called The Tablelands - formed by the Earth's deep middle mantle layer more than 400 million years ago.

The path was an easy walk and while interesting, we were hoping that it would be more of a hike, longer, and not just a path walk......

We did get a few interesting photos

And a couple pretty flowers photos as well.......

After our walk, we took a drive to the towns of Trout River and Woody Point - both super cute, but isolated.  We asked one woman who lives in Trout River (population 552 per the 2016 census) about living there. She said that before the snow comes in November, people stock-up on groceries and supplies because at times, it is very difficult to get out of the town until the heavy snow ends in April.  (Woody Point has a population of 244 residents. Just random information. 😉)

One item of note - as we drive around these areas, we keep seeing these signs:

Would it not be more advantageous to use the money to fix the potholes, rather than simply putting up a sign?
