Enjoying the Kancamagus Highway& Crawford Notch State Park, New Hampshire

After visiting the very informative Visitor Center in nearby Lincoln, we decided to drive along the scenic roads in the White Mountains and see some sites.

We started east along the Kancamagus Highway (Rte 112), enjoying views right away

And stopped first at the short Sabbaday Falls 0.3 mile hike (really a walk). It was busy, for sure, as were all our walks/hikes today, yet a very nice waterfall with two tiers of falls.

We then stopped at the very popular Rocky Gorge where lots of people were enjoying the cold water and awesome views.

Our next quick stop was Lower Falls, which was also popular and an area where people were allowed to swim….brrrr!

We enjoyed a picnic lunch and continued to the Crawford Notch State Park area where we really hiked on a 3.0 mile round-trip journey to Arethusa Falls – at nearly 200’ high, they are the highest falls in the state of New Hampshire! There were very cool (and yes, equally as popular as the other hike/walks).

Zoey’s not spoiled, is she? :-)

All-in-all, a great day – lots of beautiful views and a great hike with a lovely reward at the end.

Easy and affordable - no matter where you are!
