Acadia National Park, Maine

We are pretty excited to be near Acadia National Park while visiting friends here in Maine – if the weather holds out (rain is expected), we plan to do some good hiking and enjoy the beautiful views and vistas.

However today we decide to enjoy the 27-mile scenic drive today and enjoy some of the breathtaking views, as it was mostly sunny skies and very few clouds. (We’re learning that it rains a lot in Maine, even in the summer.)

This is a view of Bar Harbor and Bar Island – this is where we walked yesterday.

More views along the drive~

Views from Cadillac Mountain – the highest point in the park at 1,530 feet.

The drive definitely got us in the mood to hike, so the rain better stay away!! :-)

Easy and affordable - no matter where you are!
