We started our day just a few kilometers down the road at a small farmer's market (forgot to get photos - next time) and purchased some fresh local mixed greens, yummy cherry tomatoes, a cucumber, and a freshly made baguette - already looking forward to some salad with dinner later tonight.
We then drove to PEI National Park at Brackley Beach and were pleasantly surprised to find that all national park entrance fees are waived during the summer of 2026 as part of the Canada Strong Pass program (paid for by Canadian taxes) ~ yippee! 😎 There were still people at the gates - they pretty much just smiled and waved people through!
We took a long walk along the beach - so reminiscent of Oregon beaches......💕
...and then continued driving along the coastal trail enjoying views of the Gulf of St. Lawrence. (Note - PEI does not border the Atlantic Ocean at all - it is the St. Lawrence along the west, north, and east coasts and the Northumberland Straight tot he south.)
We eventually found ourselves at the Original Richard's.....
.....with lots of other people....
We drove around some more and headed back to the Airbnb (quite full) to do mundane tasks like laundry and buy salad dressing for our provisions. 😉
