We’re staying
at the Kent Island Elks Lodge for a few days so we can explore the
Chesapeake Bay area (and eat crab cakes!)
This is one of the nicest Elk Lodges
and “campgrounds” we’ve encountered. When
we call the lodges and ask if there are dedicated RV spots (meaning a specific area
for RVs, not just a “park wherever” response) we don’t normally expected this
type of set-up. There are four spots with a bit (“a bit” being the operative
words) of greenery between them, a picnic table, fire pits, firewood,
electricity (50 and 30 amp) and cable. Unfortunately, there is no water at the
sites, but the lodge does offer a fresh water connection (with a white drinking
hose, not a green gardening hose) to fill tanks. It’s$20/night for Elk members,
$25 for friends of Elks, and $15 if you’re a member of this lodge.
Easy and affordable - no matter where you are!
