Betty’s RV Park, Abbeville, Louisiana

We’ve heard of Betty’s RV Park a couple times from different people that we’ve met on the road ~ we were told that it doesn’t look like much, but the appeal is Betty (the owner) and the people that come here – often planning to come for a few days, and then staying a few weeks. We also wanted to explore an area where we haven’t been – Abbeville is in the heart of Cajun Country and there’s a lot to do.

So what do we think so far? Well, yes, it’s a parking lot around Betty’s house with few amenities besides full hook-ups, however the people here are very nice, communal, and friendly. Daily happy hours are hosted by Betty, as well as “field trips” when she takes people to different places. You can partake as little or as much as you want. So we enjoyed our first day here ~ we joined the happy hour and shared stories with fellow RV’ers and we all talked about our day – where we ate, what we did, that sort of thing. So far, so good!
Easy and affordable - no matter where you are!
