We set the alarm for 6:30am and were on the road by 7am. Slept great again - this is definitely the vacation of great sleep! This was also the vacation of never letting the fuel tank get below half-a-tank (especially in the northern areas) since we were quite remote and gas stations could be far apart. Also – and this was strange – both of our VISA cards only worked at Circle K and YX gas stations – not Shell or Esso - and the cards aren’t from the same bank – so we were cognizant of that as well. (For the record, Brad thinks he is “low” on gas then it’s juuuust below ½ tank - Suzanne fills her tank once the red light tells her to – so Brad was loving the “half-a-tank-fill-‘er-up” mentality!)
We saw lots of wind turbines in northen Sweden......
...and, of course, reindeer......
We stopped for lunch around noon at a pizza joint - guy couldn't be nicer. He asked if this was our first time in Sweden and gave us a traditional Swedish soda to try - not bad!
We ended up at a campground that had free hot showers and (not
free) laundry. Instead of dryers, they had a “drying room” - quite interesting.
