Mimi's Cafe is a chain restaurant in the southern half of the US, and we went to one for the first time today for lunch. The restaurant was very busy - the food was good and large portioned (Suzanne had her leftovers for dinner tonight) and the service was equally good. The menu is typical fare - sandwiches, pastas, soups, salads and more - it was a good lunch.
However, the best part of lunch was meeting Joy & Phil of Backroad's Chronicles. Joy & Phil have been fulltimers since June 2004 - they emailed us earlier this week to see of we wanted to meet face-to-face ~ of course we said yes! It was a great time chatting and sharing stories and we look forward to seeing them again as we all meander down the road.

We tried the Mimi's in Tucson a couple of years ago and thought the food was exceptionally good for a chain restaurant.
