We have talked on-and-off about a trip to the Galapagos Islands - well, actually Suzanne has talked about it - Brad was hoping that the idea would go away. 😀 Now that we live in south Florida, the flight to Guayaquil, Ecuador was a quick & direct 4 1/2 hours, which made the trip more accessible. (We then had a flight to the Galapagos a couple days later - more on that in a bit.)
We looked into a cruise, but decided that a cruise was not for us, no matter how small the boat. So we decide to island hop and enjoy the local atmosphere.
Knowing that we would do a lot of snorkeling, we decided to bring our snorkel gear - which we now have, living in Florida. 😉

We decided it was a good idea to have a "fluff" day in case our flight from Florida was delayed, so we flew to Guayaquil, Ecuador and spent one full day there before heading to the Galapagos.
