Rancho Sedona RV Park is at the south end of Sedona, a ¼ mile walk from the Tlaquepaque Arts & Crafts Village (a beautiful place to shop, if you have the time). We will be here for a few days while we enjoy the Sedona area.
Rancho Sedona RV Park is a very nice RV park, with trees, shrubs, and flowers in bloom. There are full hook-up sites as well as electric/water only sites, bathrooms, showers, laundry, a book exchange, and large fire pits centrally located to share with neighbors. There is free, working WiFi, an enclosed dog park, recycling, and river access (some sites back-in so close to the river that you can hear the water rushing by). This is a good place to spend some time if you want to be centrally located when you explore the Sedona area. (Tip - Rancho Sedona RV Park honors AAA and Good Sam's discounts.)
After setting-up, we were hungry, of course, so we ate at the recommended Hideaway Restaurant. The view was incredible – it sits on top of a ridge which provides views over the tree tops onto the always beautiful red rocks. The food was good – we enjoyed soup and sandwiches, and the bill is easy for the wait-staff to figure, since every item on the lunch menu costs $10. What was interesting was the waiter – it’s not that he was rude, but he clearly never got the clue that he worked for tips – it was sort of comical how he approached his job – very indifferent, for lack of a better word. It was interesting to watch him as we enjoyed our food. The big question – do we recommend this place? Brad says yes; Suzanne hasn’t decided yet – gotta try some other restaurants in Sedona before making a final decision, but there was nothing “special” about this place other than the views.
We sure hope you correctly tipped your server! They don't do anything special, they don't get a special tip, if any at all.
ReplyDeleteWe have a great server at the Apple Farm in Benson. Rinda always gets a whopping tip from us. Nice to find excellent service, and it should be rewarded.
We also left Rinda a good tip when we ate at the Apple Farm with Jerry and Suzy! Rinda will retire early on her tips alone ... she is that good!
