St. Mary’s Seafood & More Restaurant ~ and ~ The Historic District, St. Mary’s, Georgia

We tried St. Mary’s Seafood& More Restaurant on the recommendation of an employee at Crooked River State Park and we were not disappointed. Brad had the special – grilled shrimp & deviled crab (a crab mixture out back into the shell, breaded and fried), with hush puppies (fried corn bread), and a couple “sides.” Suzanne had her favorite -  crab cakes - with hush puppies and a couple sides. Everything was excellent!

We then meandered old town St. Mary’s (the second oldest town, after Saint Augustine, FL) where we enjoyed a look around the Cumberland IslandNational SeashoreMuseum (free), a few shops, and the St. Mary’s Visitor Center. It’s a sleepy little town, but enjoyable enough to stroll after a great lunch.

By the way, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO BRAD!!

Easy and affordable - no matter where you are!
