Shucks Restaurant, Abbeville, Louisiana

We heard about Shucks through some people at Betty’s RV Park and checked out online reviews, and decided lunch there would be a good idea.  We for there around noonish and the place was packed – and it’s not the only restaurant in Abbeville.

We ate at the bar since we were hungry and there was a wait for a table.  We asked the gentleman sitting next to us to explain the menu to us a bit (for example, the difference between a jumbo and etoufee). Brad decided to go for the Crawfish Etoufee as it was a specialty, and Suzanne tried the crab cakes. Both of the meals were very good, although a bit spendy (mostly due to Suzanne’s crab cake order). This was definitely the place to go while in town!

It was the first time we’ve seen alligator on the menu…………

Easy and affordable - no matter where you are!
