Cajun Swamp Tour, Louisiana

One of the things we definitely wanted to do while in Cajun Country is enjoy a swamp tour. We chose Champagne’sCajun Swamp Tour as it was recommended by Betty and others in the  park have gone with this company.  The cost was $20 per person for a 2-hour swamp tour, and cash only. The boats can take up to 20 people, but ours had only 14, which was nice since we all got a side seat, rather than a middle seat.  The swamp was surprisingly quite lovely, with no smell and many birds.  We saw about six alligators – a couple large ones, a medium size one, and a few small ones. Lots of pictures below ~ enjoy!

Great photos. Those alligators remind me of the crocodiles we saw many years ago on the banks of the Zambezi River in Zimbabwe. Scary critters! We will be in that area next month, so will look into doing the swamp tour. Happy travels.
