Ruby's Inn ~ RV Park & Campground & Restaurant, Bryce Canyon National Park, Utah

We were looking forward to camping in Bryce Canyon National Park for a few days, but some very cold weather (nights in the 20’s) prompted us to stay at a near-by private campground, so we would have electrical hook-ups for some heat! So we’re staying at Ruby’s Inn RV Park & Campground, just outside of Bryce Canyon. The RV park is nice – has everything we need – full hook-ups, a large laundry room (with surprisingly reasonable washer & dryer prices), free WiFi that works fast and great, and nice hot showers (we were pretty rank after four days in Zion with just military showers). As a bonus, people staying at the RV park have access to the Main Lodge’s swimming pool and hot tub!

So off to the Main Lodge we went, to check out the pool and hit tub, when we decided we were hungry, and had lunch at the Main Lodge’s restaurant. It was just okay – terrible service and just okay food – we were disappointed.

We walked around the town of Ruby’s Inn a bit more, checking-out their grocery store (has everything, but expensive)and gift shops, but much of the town was still closed, as the season hasn’t quite come upon Bryce Canyon. It is interesting that this town seems to be run by one company………a monopoly of sorts.

Loved the picture of the snowy canyon! Great contrast of desert colors and crystal-white snow!
